So where do you Start? Let me give you a 5 Step Overview of how we handle the process with our clients.

1. Plan

Yes you need a house plan, but this is not that type of plan we have to start with. First we need to devise a road map that takes into account what you want to achieve in your Forever home.

Functions (Size, # of bedrooms, finished basement,etc), Style (This is where we get to look at all of your pretty pictures), and Budget (Land+Site Costs+Build Costs=budget – Not the fun part).

In your initial meeting with one of our design experts we will take the time to learn and to listen all about your family and your needs in your new home. From what we learn about you we can make sure our team is aligned with your function, style, and budget throughout the whole building experience.

2. House Design

The hard work of planning has a reward! From what we learned about you we create a complete custom home design aligned with your desired function, style, and budget.

We often have clients bring us plans they find on the internet. They have completely fallen in love with the plan and have already mentally moved in. When we price it out it is punch in the stomach to them when they hear it is way over their budget. Our upfront design meeting is critical to making sure this doesn't happen and that we create a home designed for all your needs - budget included!

3. Kickoff

The details are all finalized on paper and now it is time to make your beautiful 3D forever home a reality in 4D!! Our design and construction teams meet with you to kickoff the start of construction on your home. Our team has designed a Playbook for the construction of your home. It is a step by step guide outlining the meetings we have during the build and what to expect along the way.

4. Selections

We like to think of the selections as the jewelry on your home. We spent all the time upfront on making sure the structure of the home matches your vision and now our design team will guide you to make sure all the details accentuate the structure. We have a great online tool that helps keep all your build details organized from job site photos, construction timeline, changes, financial details, and selections information.

5. Build

I grew up in building and the excitement of going out to our home sites has never gotten old! The best analogy that I can think of is that it is like Christmas morning for 6 months. It is an exciting experience for the entire family to go out each day and see the things they have designed and selected come to life. Of course there are going to be questions along the way. With our Construction and Design Teams being integrated it makes questions easy to answer no matter what type of question you have.
