Interior Designer (North Canton)

Old World Custom Homes is seeking to grow our talented design team! We’re looking for an Interior Designer that has an eye for functional & creative design with thorough Interior Design / Building knowledge. This is a unique opportunity to assist in designing & building multiple homes we have under construction for our clients. This role will work directly with our Director of Interior Design to oversee multiple custom homes, from concept to client move in.

Responsibilities:

  • Keep a knowledge of each home from start to finish. You will be managing multiple custom homes at a time
  • Meet with clients on the overall selection of exterior and interior design elements.
  • Produce trim drawings, architectural details, and edit electrical plans.
  • Review construction documents, floor plans, interior and exterior renderings, etc.
  • Develop and update lighting, tile, paint, and general finish schedules for field use

Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in CAD, Microsoft Office and Google Docs/Sheets
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design
  • A strong design eye and aesthetic that matches our OWC look and style
  • Proven knowledge of the interior design and construction process, from start to finish for high-end residential build projects
  • Incredible level of attention to detail and extremely organized
  • Skilled at juggling multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines, as you will be involved with several projects at one time. Some days are more hectic than others, so we need a team player with a cheerful outlook and willingness to bounce from project to project easily and execute the constantly shifting tasks on each and every project, while keeping the OWC Design Team and Project Manager aware of overall project timelines
  • Must have your own car & cell phone, and available to work from our Office in North Canton, OH

Architectural Designer (Columbus)

Old World Custom Homes is expanding its design team and seeking an Architectural Designer with a keen eye for creative and functional design, comprehensive architectural knowledge, and strong familiarity with the construction process. This unique opportunity involves contributing to the design and construction of multiple high-end custom homes in Northeast and Central Ohio, collaborating closely with our Sales Team and Interior Designers to transform clients’ visions into their dream homes.

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with clients and the Sales team to develop concept plans that balance creative design, budget constraints, and livable square footage.

· Create 3D Rendered Exterior Elevations for sales presentations.

  • Produce construction drawings for new homes and remodeling projects.
  • Develop trim drawings, architectural details, and electrical plans.
  • Oversee quality control of construction drawings between entire drafting team

· Work efficiently within tight timelines to meet Sales and Construction Team deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CAD, preferably Softplan, Sketchup, & Lumion
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (preferred but not required)
  • A strong design eye and aesthetic that matches our OWC look and style

· Proven expertise in the architectural design and construction process for high-end residential projects, from inception to completion.

· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines, as involvement with several projects concurrently is expected.

General Manager (Cincinnati)

As the General Manager of our Cincinnati division, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our operations. You will oversee our Sales, Construction, and Design Teams, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of projects while maintaining our unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will be responsible for key financial performance metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the Sales, Construction, and Design Teams, fostering a culture that embraces our 6 core values.

· Oversee all aspects of human resource management, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary action as necessary, to ensure a high-performing team.

· Conduct quarterly performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to team members, supporting their professional development and growth within the organization.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations, maintaining a safe and respectful work environment for all employees.

  • Oversee all aspects of project development, from initial client consultation to project completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee the Sales Team to manage client experience from initial consultation through design phase to starting construction, ensuring a seamless transition and consistent communication to uphold customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the Construction Team to adhere to the “OWC Way” of Construction to maintain our quality standards and deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain gross profit margins.
  • Foster a customer-centric approach throughout the division, ensuring that every client receives exceptional service and support throughout the home-building process.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements, leveraging insights to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a leadership role within the custom home building industry, with a track record of success in overseeing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering exceptional results.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes, including design, estimating, scheduling, and project management.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex financial data, develop actionable insights, and drive financial performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and external partners.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
  • Proficiency in project management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
